About the Sioux Falls Tool Library
The Sioux Falls Tool Library was started as a resource to serve the community of Sioux Falls. They are a volunteer-led organization that emphasizes access over ownership. Their goal is to help strengthen the community by allowing members the ability to complete projects without the need for expensive tools that ultimately they may not need on an ongoing basis. The Challenge
When the Sioux Falls Tool Library had approached us, they had been open for quite a few months, bordering on a year. Having initially constructed their website in Squarespace, they had built a very simple website to help lead people towards the process of getting signed up for their membership options. Functioning as mostly a ‘set-it-and-forget-it’ experience, there was little time for their staff to tend to the website, including updates, or optimization. This led to limited traffic, and a poor mobile user experience – of which was their primary audience device type.
To address the existing issues and allow for further scalability, we offered to help. Proposing a reconstruction of the website in WordPress, we were able to provide a solution that integrated seamlessly with all of their existing solutions, while broadening their horizons for future growth for the organization by enabling higher precision with designing, maintaining, and optimizing the website through the vast library of plugins available on the WordPress Repository.
