We include free professionally-handled WordPress migration into our hosting as part of your purchase. To ensure that your migration goes smoothly, and that you can get the best performance out of our hosting, we hand-migrate each website, and install the necessary caching configurations into your website to ensure that you get the best experience out of our hosting services.

What do we include in the migration?

We include a number of different things, including the following:

• Migration of your WordPress files and database into your hosting instance
• Optimization of your WordPress installation with our local caching engines
• Auditing of user experience to ensure no visitor interruption
• Management of DNS record changes and required network updates
• Free Post-Migration backup to ensure rollback to original state

Will I experience any downtime during migration?

This depends on a number of different factors, but ultimately no – our intent is for a seamless switchover between hosting providers. We work to orchestrate the migration of your site, update of your DNS records, and changeover of account settings in a fashion that reduces if not eliminates the downtime that can be incurred by a WordPress migration.

Can I choose when my site is migrated?

Yes – we are absolutely happy to migrate your site during a specific time of your choosing, however we will typically schedule these migrations during off-hours to ensure that your website traffic remains uninterrupted. If you have a specific time of day that you know works best, please let us know and we’ll be sure to adhere to this.

What’s included in my migration?

We’ll migrate your entire WordPress website, including the entire file system, and database for your website. This will ensure that all of your plugins, uploads, posts, and pages, as well as any custom content comes over unmodified.

We will not include any files outside of the main root director of your WordPress installation.
